Im Zimmer sollte der Baum einen hellen Standort und nur einmal pro bis drei Tage Wasser bekommen – gut beraten sein von unten über eine untergestellte Schale.
Der Container sollte daher Löcher im Boden haben. Entgegen der geschnittene Baum sollte das Weihnachtssymbol im Topf nur wenige Tage im Zimmer stehen.
Und das am besten möglichst kühl, damit er nicht antreibt und weiterwächst.

„Erfahrungsgemäß geht das aber zurück los.” Daher wird der Baum es empfiehlt sich in den Boden gegeben, sobald dieser frostfrei ist.
