Hey fellow adventurers! Last post I talked about landmarks, but I purposefully left out artwork. There are so many beautiful pieces in Vatican City, that I felt it deserved its own post. I’ll display some of the most famous works held in Vatican City below and the name of the artist. I won’t go into detail though. If you want to learn more about any, or all, of these pieces, I highly encourage you do some research! Art history can be fun!

Weihnachtsstimmung auf Balkon und Terrasse: Mini-Weihnachtsbäume
im Topf lassen sich hübsch schmücken. Lebensbäume, Kiefern oder Wacholder:
In der Adventszeit haben Koniferen Hochkonjunktur, werden mit Lichterketten und allerlei Glitzer und Schleifen verziert.
Besonders gut eignen sich Zwergkoniferen, sie können im Frühjahr in den Garten gepflanzt werden. Sie sind sehr dekorativ.
Wer keinen Platz für ein großes Gehölz im Garten oder
auf dem Balkon hat, kann auf Mini-Koniferen im Topf zurückgreifen. Damit die Pflanze den Winter draußen gut
übersteht, sollte man sie verpacken. Dazu die Konifere mit dem Plastiktopf in einen etwas größeren Topf stellen. So
lässt sich Staunässe vermeiden und die Pflanze ist vor Frost geschützt.
Den Platz zwischen den beiden Töpfen mit Eierkartons oder Pappe
auffüllen. Anschließend den Topf hübsch verkleiden, dafür eignet sich etwa ein farbiger
Jutesack. Zuletzt eine Lichterkette in das Bäumchen hängen. Wer
möchte, schmückt zusätzlich mit Kugeln oder Zapfen. Bis zum Frühjahr die Konifere
weiterhin regelmäßig gießen, dann kann sie in den Garten oder in einen größeren Kübel gepflanzt werden. Besonders gut passen die immergrünen Gehölze neben Stauden oder
Ziergräser.
